Terms of Use and Licence Agreement
These terms govern your use of the Frinity app and website. By creating an account you accept them. Read them before you tick the box — they say what you may do, what we may do, and what happens when someone breaks the rules.
Effective from 2026-09-08
1. Who we are
Frinity is operated by the person or company named on the Contact page, which also carries the registered address, company number and contact details.
You can reach us at [email protected] for anything in these terms.
2. What Frinity is
Frinity is an app for sharing photos and videos from meet-ups you attended in person. You start an event, add the people who were there, and everyone adds their own media into one shared gallery.
The gallery of an event is not a public page. Files are stored privately and are opened only to people who are part of that event.
3. Who may use it
You must be at least 15 years old to create an account. Below that age we cannot offer you the service and the account will be closed if we learn about it.
You give one true e-mail address and pick a username. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so do not share access with anyone.
4. Your content stays yours
Photos and videos you upload remain yours. You do not transfer ownership to us.
You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: to store your media, to convert it into a smaller archive version, to create thumbnails, and to show it to the other people in that event. Nothing else. We do not use your media for advertising and we do not sell it.
The licence ends when you delete the media or your account, except for copies that other people already downloaded to their own devices — those are out of our reach.
5. Photos of other people
A shared album means you upload pictures of other people. Beyond data protection law, every person has a right to their own likeness under Czech civil law (§ 84–90 of the Civil Code).
By uploading you confirm that the people in the photo agreed to it being shared with the others in that event, or that you may share it for another lawful reason.
If you appear in a photo somebody else uploaded and you want it gone, write to us and we will remove it. You do not have to explain why and you do not need the uploader's agreement.
6. Zero tolerance for abusive content
There is no tolerance here — not a warning system, not a strike count. The first time it happens the content goes and the account goes with it.
- Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind, including material, grooming and solicitation. This is reported to the authorities.
- Sexual content involving anyone who is or appears to be a minor.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or content targeting someone because of who they are.
- Intimate images shared without the consent of the person shown.
- Violent, gory or hateful content.
- Impersonating another person, spam, and attempts to break or abuse the service.
7. Reporting and what we do about it
Every photo and every account can be reported from inside the app, and anyone can report content through the Report page on the website without having an account.
We look at reports and act on them. Depending on what we find we may remove the content, limit or close the account, and where the law requires it, notify the authorities.
If we remove your content or restrict your account, we tell you and say why, unless the law forbids it. You may reply to that decision at the contact address and we will look at it again.
8. Blocking other people
You can block anyone. After that you stop appearing to each other in search and on the map and neither of you can send a friend request. Events and photos you already share stay where they are.
9. Limits of the free plan and Frinity+
The free plan and Frinity+ differ in how much you can upload. The current numbers are on the pricing section of the website and inside the app; they are part of these terms by reference.
A single photo may be at most 15 MB on the free plan and 20 MB with Frinity+. You can add media to an event for one month after it started; after that the event locks.
Full-quality originals are kept for 30 days from upload so you can download them. After that the archive version stays and the original is deleted. This is not reversible, so download what you want to keep in time.
10. Frinity+ payment
Frinity+ is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel it, and you can cancel at any time; the subscription then runs to the end of the paid period.
If you buy it through the App Store or Google Play, the payment and any refund are handled by that store under its own rules.
If you buy it on our website, you are buying digital content delivered immediately. By starting the purchase you ask for delivery before the withdrawal period ends and you acknowledge that this means you lose the right to withdraw within 14 days.
What Frinity+ lets you upload is more than the free plan can hold, so it is tied to an active subscription. When Frinity+ ends you have twelve months to bring every event back within the free per-event limits — by downloading what you want and deleting the rest. After those twelve months we remove only what is over the limit: each event keeps the media you added first, up to the free limit, and the rest of the album is untouched. We tell you thirty days and seven days beforehand, the app shows you exactly how much is over, and starting Frinity+ again at any point during those twelve months cancels the whole thing.
11. Ending the account
You can delete your account at any time — in the app under Settings, or through the page linked from the website. Deletion removes your profile, the events you own, and your media. It cannot be undone.
We may close an account that breaks section 6, or one that has been dormant for a long time, after telling you.
12. What we do not promise
Frinity is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running and your media safe, but we do not promise the service will never be unavailable or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you.
Nothing here limits liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Czech law. Where you are a consumer, your statutory rights are untouched.
13. Changes
We may change these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app or by e-mail before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
14. Law and disputes
Czech law applies. If you are a consumer and we cannot settle a complaint between us, you may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, coi.cz) for out-of-court resolution.
